When to press washed fabric?

It's best to starch and iron it right before you use it. I smooth mine out to remove most of the wrinkles to that they don't get locked in and then fold it. If you iron it and then store it you'll have to iron it again to get the fold lines out.

I only iron after washing if it really wrinkled. That way it folds nicely. I press and starch before I cut it. And I only starch what I am going to use.
I have heard that bugs like to feed on the starch so I don't store starched fabric. If a piece gets starched and I end up not using it, I will wash it again before storing.
