When you buy fabric at Wal-Mart...
#82
we have walmart in my small mountain town, and luckily they still have fabric. I have noticed the last 2 weeks , however, they raised their " cheaper " prices to a few pennies shy of $3.00 a yard, and sadly, some of the quality has gone down in that change.. But, being the picky buyer, I choose wisely on what I can afford there, praying blessings that walmart won't delete that section of the store anytime soon.. Don't like to travel hours over mountains , in either direction to find a Joann's or any other fabric/hobby store that has manageable prices for all the baby quilts I make, and donate.

Wow, Just got my fabrics from Bearpawquilting.com and really pleased with the quality-brands were Timeless Treasures ($3.99/yd), South Sea Imports ($3.49) Blender by Choice ($2.99) and Revue ($2.99). Mind you they were on sale. I haven't been to Walmart for a few years for fabric, so I don't know what brands they carry, not that I ever really paid attention to brands before. If it felt good and the price was right and I really liked it, I would buy it. Maybe this gives some comparison for brands and prices if Walmart carries them. Most of my fabric has come from Joann's in the past and I know when I did shop at Walmart, they carried many of the same fabrics for less (not counting Joann's coupons).
