i do my best praying when I'm hand quilting. Love the quiet and the opportunity to lose myself in the wonder and glory of God.

[quote=CristyK1]Most of the time the only thing I am thinking is how I'm going to get those 8 tiny little stitches into that tiny little inch.

With that being said, I'm still new to this so it takes alot for me.[/quote

I always try for 8 on top and 8 on the bottom. Is there a specific rule?

The professionals measure stitches both top and bottom to determine how many per inch you get.

I am learning the blanket stitch, and I think I may have found something to ease my mind....handwork.
I am one of those who cannot just sit and watch tv. I need to have my hands busy, so I have found that hand quilting my table toppers is perfect for me. then I can stop a moment if something on the boob tube demands my full attention and then back to listening and stitching.
    :D :-D
Exactly what I do, either embroider or hem a quilt, can't just sit there and watch TV. When at the lake I read alot if I don't have something to embroider.

I pray for my family, one at a time, it is so peaceful to
think of them individually and prayer for them.
