Hubby and I both quilt, so we buy Warm & White or Natural by the bolt (40 yards). We get it at our local Joann store, and ALWAYS use a 50% off coupon. Bought a bolt about a month ago, and saved over $230.00 on the 40 yards. It lasts us about 3 years, so very worth it.

depends on where you live, Joanns is having a sale this weekend on batting!

rolls can be bought from the mfg outside Waco, TX-direct

    you go and pickup yourself.

otherwise you need to do an online search

I usually get it from JoAnns with my 40% off coupon or order it online from JoAnns when they send me an online coupon.

My friend did exactly that....She bought a whole bolt and used the 50% coupon (this is online). The shipping was about $18.

Can you purchase a whole bolt with the 50% off coupon? Our local store gives you the discount on only the first yard of material so I assumed it was the same with batting as well. Perhaps I didn't read their flyer right?

JoAnns usually reads ," one cut of fabric and /or 40/50% regular priced item ". I have used the coupon on batting by the bolt at the store and online. You just have to wait and outwit them , by buyin when the item you want is not on sale.

I buy from Joann's. They have what you need and I usually buy 15-25 yds at a time and use my 40 percent off coupon if not on sale I wait till I have a coupon and it's 93" wide besides. Warn & Natural is what I get. Its soft and strong and washes great and goes through the dryer as well. They do carry bolts but you don't get it that wide or that much on a bolt and that's what great about it. Hancocks are great too but don't know how they sell theirs. I love their prices on fabric sales they have. They are far from me so only go about every 2-3 yrs.when I get a ride with someone going there. Call Joanns and see how your store sells it.

Oh No!! you should be getting the 50 percent off of the whole cut they cut for you. That's considered 1 piece and this is how Joann's sells their fabrics & batting by the yard. As long as you get a contiguous piece it's all 40/50 percent off. It says that in Joann's ads. If your store isn't doing that then go somewhere they will. Even Walmart does that with a contiguous piece is 20/30/ percent off. Our Walmart stopped selling fabrics last year. But now they say they are bringing it back. They should have lessoned to us about stopping fabrics in their stores. I guess they lost a lot of woman buying fabrics and just didn't think it was that much. We rule when it comes to buying fabrics and Joann's & Hancocks know that and all the on line fabric stores too.
Take care quilters and make something elegant :-P

I bought at WalMart yesterday. Half the price of JoAnnes and twice as nice in quality. I bought the whole bolt, but I made them measure it and sure enough, the bolt said 15 yds and measured 14yds, 6"' and was $3.99 @yd
