Hi guys - I went to a 'New York Beauty' workshop yesterday and I really enjoyed it!! Pics to follow when I have finished!

    HOWEVER

The tutor gave us each a sheet of what she called 'Magic Paper' a kind of light weight interfacing to use as a leave in foundation. She said it was different to regular interfacing because it had no stretch (which would make sense for foundations!!!)

The thing is - she is running low - I only have one sheet - and she doesnt know where to get more....

    Any ideas please????

Thanks for your help in advance - I know you will come up with something!!!

alot of lqs' carry foundation sheets of different types, also joannes, michaels, and hobby lobby... i don't know about the specific one you are looking for but i pick up packages of Carol Doak Foundation Sheets at one my my local shops, comes in a package of 50 sheets, lightweight-see through-no stretch. you can also use a light weight muslin or sheeting and cut your foundations the size you need.

i saw something interesting while shopping at JHittleSewing this morning. they sell packs of printable foundation paper that washes away when you're done.

it's a bit pricey, and the sheets are only letter-size, but for small foundation blocks i think it might come in pretty handy.

there are several pages of specials, so you may have to hunt for it once you go here:

Ricky Tims has one called "Stable Stuff" that can be left in. I ordered mine from Erica's.

As far as I know the Carol Doak is paper that you remove. I took a workshop of her's and that's what she gave us---the removable kind. I don't know if she makes a Leave On type or not. I know that there are some that you leave on and they're supposed to wash away when you wash your quilt. I don't know how well that works.

I have used Do Sew Tracing material for years. I got it at a local quilt store that is now closed. I guess I will have to order from now on.

Here is a link to it on the Clotilde site.
