Where can I find this pattern?
I saw this quilt at Quilter's Quarters in Cottonwood, AZ while on vacation and took a photo of it with their permission. They told me it was a free pattern but they did not know the name of it. It is made primarily of squares. Anyone know where I can find the free pattern or the name of this pattern? Thanks so much!

The block is called a split 9 patch and it's constructed as cjsews explained. Google it for detailed instructions. There are a lot out there, here's one:

Obviously, color placement is the key to duplicate this quilt!

This pattern has 3 HSTs run diagonally thru the block. Did you happen to look at the size of the finished square??
