Flannel is very difficult to find in our area. Only one LQS carries a very good selection and most shops don't carry any. Have driven 100 miles to get some. On the other hand, fleece is everywhere. Even on-line there doesn't seem to be much selection. Does it not 'move' fast enough for the LQS to stock?

I bought some at Joanne's it was ok....but then I went to my local quilt shop and she had some really nice flannel and solid color. Thicker and very soft. It was worth paying extra.

If you are willing to buy online, fabricshack.com carries quite a few flannels. They have good service too.

I get my solid colored flannel from Hobby Lobby for $4.99 a yard and use a 40% coupon on it. It is by A. E. Nathan and very nice flannel. I have also bought a lot of flannal from Joann's Snuggle flannel line.

I live about an hour away from Fabric Shack, I can vouch for their quality.
