It looks like you used the Juki's own surround? and then covered it too with the clear plastic top so there's no place for thread or fuzz or whatever to get into the crack? That is a good idea and it might help with my Janome which has no sharp corners on the bed, and even to the left of the needle, that area slopes down.

What a nice machine, too. It looks like you could drive a truck through the harp! I'm jealous!
Well, I just put the Juki on a mini pini frame and love it. I put my old Sears electronic sewing machine with the Juki surround. you can do anything if you just play around a little. Love my harp

7" in on the right side of the table and 5" in from the front of the table.
Machine table is oblong 40"x 20"
The "machine well" is 5" in from the front of the table and
7" in from the right side of the table
The machine is fitted to be level with the table. PERFECT for me.
The machine table is flush with my large cutting table, giving me plenty of room on the left side and at the top to move large quilts
    Good luck

This is my set up. My machine bed is almost perfectly level with the edge of the table (computer table). I can scooch my machine up against the side if I want to. There is five inches of space in front of the machine base. I love this set up but do wish the left side was as wide as the right side. When I work on a large quilt I just move the rolling cabinets (2) over to the left side of the desk. Works for me.

The center table height is adjustable, the table legs are steel. I've had this for at least 15 years now.
