We happen to live with another family...for over a yr and a half and it is working out perfectly. They own a very large home with 2 bedrooms not being used so I have 3/4 of a room for all my sewing stuff, I share, with the owner, the rest of the room, he has a drum set. We never set foot in that room at the same time! I cannot stand alot of noise!!! LOL They have been very generous with the space and I love having my own sewing room!

We knocked out a wall between 2 bedrooms to make 1 huge sewing/quilting room. Or I can set up the FW in the living room. If I am handquilting, I do that in the living room.

I have a very small, one bedroom flat. The whole lot is utilised:I sew in the lounge room, cut in the bedroom and iron in the bathroom. It suits me.Some people were upset about the sewing being everywhere. They don't visit any more and who cares?

One of my guest bedrooms. We have installed a murphy bed which will also serve as a design wall when I finally get around to covering the surface which is exposed when it is closed into the wall. Rolling carts for storage allow me to quickly convert from sewing space to guest room. My husband made a beautiful cutting table from solid wood which doubles as a nice flat surface for guests to use. I feel very spoiled!

We are fulltime RV'ers. We took out one of the two couches and set me up my corner. I love it.

I took all the stuff out of the spare bedroom but my LA barely fits corner to corner. My sewing machine is in the closet. I iron and cut on the dining table and some small stuff on my large ottoman. My husband hates it when I take up the dining table but he's a trucker so I try to coordinate it around him when possible. We finished a room downstairs for my sewing, etc. but it doesn't have an inside staircase, the ground is rough, I'm not physically capable of moving it by myself anymore and he's gone a lot and catches up on sleep when he's here. I have to run back and forth a lot to use the rotary cutter on the mat. It works.
