I also use a few on my little herb packages I get to keep the package closed tightly after I open them. Also have grabbed a couple to close chip bags. And I do use them in my quilting studio also. Wonderful things.

Watch your office supply places. I bought clips from Staples Offfice Supply - 30 for $1.00 on sale. They came in three different sizes. They are metal spring action in bright colors and work great. I love them. (Needless to say I bought several packs and am set for life.....) I'm sooooo cheap

I also got them on Amazon - it was the best price anywhere at the time.
Just used them on Sunday for my second-ever quilt binding. The corners were SEW easy and they're easy to use with one hand. I used the 'hair clips' on the first-ever binding and while they worked, they just weren't as easy to use. Worth the price if you can get the 50-pack for about $20.

I wasn't sure that I would like them either, but I was lucky enough to test them for my local quilt store (for one of the owners) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I would recommend them to anyone. They work great for quilts, quilt binding, purse straps and zippers. I was making my son a camo coat and used them to hold the zipper in place when sewing. I bought one pack on sale on Eleanor Burns website, but bought my other packs on Amazon & was given a pack for mother's day.
Have a blessed day.
