As a Catholic, we had this little ditty we said when something was missing: "Tony, Tony, come around. Something's lost that needs to be found." (St. Anthony is the patron saint of missing things.) As you say it, picture holding the missing item. I've had great success with this. It's like you get led to the place where it is.

My husband wants me to just go buy another pair - no way, they are here somewhere! This happened once before and I did buy new glasses. The old ones appeared one evening folded neatly and sitting in the middle of the living room floor. Creepy. I hope your tea cop pin cushion appears soon for you. Good luck.

I'll admit my sewing stuff is a bit more organized today-----------I misplaced my rotary cutter blades--------and finally found them.

As it is only DH and puppy living with me, we have looked and looked and looked. Can anyone suggest where this tea cup pincushion could have hidden?!? Suggestions wanted!
This happens every day at our house. Once I lost a watch for over a year. Turns out I had it in my hand when I put some laundry away and left it in the bottom of the drawer. Then there was the time I cleaned out another drawer and found 3 $100 bills I had tucked away and forgotten. Finding money would be nicer than the pin cushion.......!

I had used my small electric table top grill and had to remove the electric element to clean the rest of the grill. I laid it on the counter and when I had finished the cleaning I proceeded to replace the element. It wasn't there. I looked absolutely everywhere, even in the waste basket (just in case). That was about 4 months ago and it is still missing. I know if I would throw away the rest, it would show up. Don't despair, I almost have and I hate admitting defeat. Good luck.

I do one of two things when this happens to me. I walk back into the house the way I did that day. This may help to refresh your memory. The other thing I do, is to fall asleep thinking about it. I wake up in the morning and it's the first thing on my mind. I can walk right to it. I need a well rested brain to make up for the tired one. I like PenniF's way of thinking, too. One of my friend's found her mail on the water heater, downstairs, once. She had no clue how it got there. Good luck! I sure hope you find it!

Oh my goodness, I do hang them in the top of my shirt. I've looked in the van, but not in the back. I hope they didn't fly onto the ground somewhere. Thank you for sharing.

Ok, what works for me is retracing my steps. Just think where you went after you opened the door. Maybe, like me, it was the bathroom. Ha, ha! Good Luck!
