Where would you look?

This story reminded me of something similar that happened to me. I am a Snowbird. Before leaving MN I packed a new project that I wanted to work on for my own bed in TX. When I got to TX I noticed I had left the main direction page of the pattern in MN. I called the quilt shop I purchased it from offering to order another one. The lady there said she would e-mail me the missing pattern pieces. After I received them, I noticed the person I had been speaking to on the phone was the actual pattern designer. Normally they wouldn't do something like that. I had bought the kit at our state quilt show so didn't even know her. How lucky was that?

Don't have a clue where you might look, but do have a suggestion to save you this problem in the future. I bought a 3 ring binder and some inexpensive plastic sleeves. When I buy a pattern, I make a photo copy so I can make notes on it. And both the original and copy go into plastic sleeves in my 3 ring binder. That way I always know where my patterns are. P.S. I found some cute fabric with a 'sewing' theme and made a cover for the binder. Hope you find your pattern!

Did you try the quiltinaday site videos? You can start/stop them for the pertinent info as she goes along. I think I remember her mentioning that one. I'm sure your pattern will turn up in least expected place! Good luck!

Good luck finding it! I did a stupid thing the other day - I had a box of Milk Duds and could NOT figure out where I put them. They were not in the cupboard with the snacks, not ANYWHERE! I opened up the refrigerator, and they were sitting next to the milk - "milk" duds next to the milk. My brain must have been off but thought of the word "milk"!! So.........look for something in your house that is "yellow", something "brick" or a "road" and you may find it!!! I'm just saying.............
