Laundry, dishes and bathrooms always done. I can walk on scraps of fabric that don't bug me. But I don't want to walk on piles of laundry, No room to leave it in baskets or I would, I hate folding clothes. Can't stand to wake up to dirty dishes, also have a real dislike to dirty bathrooms. Thats just me.

We both work full time and we only have one daughter. We try to keep things picked up but that doesn't always work. When I'm the only one on my feet doing housework, I ask them what's wrong with this picture and then they both help. On weekends we work on chores or special projects until noon, then usually take the rest of the day off. Life is too short. I do try to keep the kitchen clean and cook from scratch. I clean toilets when they need it. I wear shoes in the house so I don't notice how dirty the floors are. He does the floors every six weeks whether they need it or not. Some things just aren't worth arguing about any more.
I have a contest to see who can go the longest before picking up little bits of trash on the floor. I always give in and pick it up. When I get frustrated I say Life is too short, then some things aren't worth arguing about any more and then repeat as needed.

I detest housework, can't really do much anyhow with a bad back can't stand or sit for long periods of time so my siting is reading this board & playing around in face book the standing is making my bed a little laundry every few days & dust mopping dog hairs every couple of days. The dishes get done when the dishwasher is full. The end.

I have a bad back so vacuuming is a chore for me. I plan of getting a Shark vacuum. My friend has one and it is soooo light and easy to use. Maybe it could be a help to you too.

When working outside the home, I used the Sidetracked Home Executive method. This was really helpful for all members of the family. Each had their own chores. Things were cleaned on a 'schedule' but never meant a whole day of cleaning.
Now I use Flylady's approach. Once again, 'cleaning' doesn't fill my days. The kitchen sink is shiny and empty at the end of the day. The bathrooms get a quick swish and swipe at some point during the day. Bed is made and I am dressed to the shoes every morning. Those are daily things that get done. With Flylady there are email reminders of special tasks for that day. None of them are very time consuming. This is a spinoff of the Sidetracked Home Executives. House is always presentable but not sterile. Check out Flylady.com for inspiration and suggestions to housekeeping without letting the house keeps us!
Always time to sew during the day!
