My local quilt shop started a BOM using Whirligig Designs pattern, Joy. The quilt is done with Batiks, which is not my taste. Has anyone made this quilt and not used Batiks? Could you post a picture, I'm looking for ideas. The pattern really appealed to me so I got it without knowing what fabrics I would use.

don't like batiks either..it's your quilt, your money, be different!!! I never like the pattern that is chosen for our retreats, so I usually make the quilt in something that is suitable for Project Linus...just another thought
