My daughter purchased this machine at a thrift store yesterday for $25.00. It really is in nice condition except the stitch length dial is difficult to turn. Can anyone give me some advice on how to loosen that up a bit? Thanks, I always get such great advice from the Quilting Board!

Maybe it is clogged with dust or lint?

I would take it to a good repair center for a good cleaning and oiling. So many times, maintainence is not done on a regular basis and that is all it needs. Congratulations on the great find!
