    Default White Chalk Pencil

I used a white chalk pencil to draw a motif on some placemats. It showed up really well and now I'm worried it might not wash out. Does anyone know if I should pretreat or try to rub it off before I wash the mats? Thanks for any advice.

I've never had problems with white chalk.

I use it with applique all the time. You can either dust it off or wash it. It comes right off.

Yippee!! I was surely hoping it would wash out. It doesn't really brush off as it is a little waxy. Thanks everyone, they are headed for the washing machine now.

I have a pencil I use as well, it is white and never had a problem with it not washing out, in fact I sometimes worry that it stay on for as long as I need it. Not sure what brand it is. I do know that red or yellow can be a problem leaving yellow behind. Good luck!
