    Default White Christmas quilt pattern

Have you ever ran across a quilt pattern by accident and just fell in love? I stumbled across this picture while surfing the net. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5JzIdxmZjk...%2B9%2B008.jpg

Here's the blog post about the quilt. It's an old blog that is longer in use. http://lazylabquiltcompany.blogspot....onclusion.html

The quilter did some minor adjustments to the pattern. WOW! How cute is that! I sooooooo need this pattern! It would look nice in my spare bedroom that is in light blues and yellows. I pretty sure I could come up with something close to it on my own, but boy that's a lot of work. Maybe at Christmas dinner I could give everyone a pair of scissors and a piece of paper folded and have them cut out a snowflake or two!? HMMMM....If I go ahead and fuse some light weight heat and bond to some fabric in different sizes....you see where I'm going with this! It would make a great memory of Christmas, an Heirloom. Each guest could even sign the snowflakes they make with permanent blue marker! Oh the possibilities......

    I better get busy!

Oh I saw one in a magazine years ago I swore I would make. It was mostly gray but beautiful. I bought fabric and put it and magazine in a bag where it stayed. I finally gave up on that one and am using the fabric now.

That sounds like a really fun idea, if you do hand out the fabrics, I'd be interested in hearing how large you make the squares, etc.

did you see that one of the commenters said the White Christmas Quilt appeared in the July/August edition of Australian Quilters Companion, which was Vol 9.4 No. 44.

I think that would be a wonderful Christmas memory - maybe even make it a tradition

I've found the pattern on various sites, but I'm thinking that making a quilt based upon this pattern would be great. Maybe instead of adding "Peace on Earth" add "Family Christmas 2013". Maybe I should use my maiden name in the title. It should be a fun dinner, Me, my kids and my brothers kids are all going to wear ugly homemade Christmas sweaters. My mom is one of those people who thinks things should be a little more... lets say.... traditional. Our sweaters should liven things up a bit! I say lighten up, have fun and make memories. Life's to short to walk in the same rut year after year. It's fun to add a new tradition, don't you think?
