Don't know that I have any solid colors in my stash, excepting a cream muslin. In fact, I'm looking for more white on whites & cream on creams right now.Isn't easy to find good ones, especially on line. Those fabrics can be flimsy & stiff, so like to see what I'm buying.

What is the pattern you are showing with your little girls sitting in front of it? My sister would love it!

I only use white on white and always have 3-4 yds on hand at all timnes just in case. I also buy black the same way. Never know when you will need the basics.

I buy tone on tone when my LQS has it on sale. I buy several 2 yard pieces. I like the off white better than the real white fabric. Its great to have plenty in your stash because you will use it a lot for the background in quilt blocks. Buy a good quality fabric because the background fabric is usually around the edges of the block, you don't want it to stretch.

I really like Kona Snow - it isn't a white white and nice to work with

I recently bought a bolt of Kona white. Kona has several shades of white to choose from. There r cheaper whites, but r kinda see-thru. I am attracted to medium colors, lately I have been buying lights just to balance myself out.

I don't really have much 'white' fabric in my stash, My absolute favorite background fabric is an unbleached muslin, I make mostly scrap quilts, and it just looks so simple and clean..... but, I do have some tonal white on white , just to mix it up alittle. :)

This is an excellent question. I've had some trouble with white on white and plain white fabrics showing through when they were not good quality (thread count not high enough). I would buy a small amount and test before making a major investment.

Muslin by the bolt--it always seems to be gone when I really need it. I also dye and paint the muslin, so a bolt really does not last that long. Love the white tone on tones and use them quite often.
Stash has probably 15-20 yards of assorted whites/creams

I always back my summer quilts with white fabric and don't add any batting. When I sew it together I just stitch in the ditch.
