I've ordered from both. Great customer service from both. Connecting Threads produces their own fabrics, Whittles has different manufacturers.

I like the batiks from CT, have ordered and will again. Their blenders (Mirage) are great and you can't beat the prices. If you don't like the krinkle look in you quilts, I would wash all fabrics before using to allow for shrinkage, it seems to shrink a little more than some. I would suggest ordering a charm pack of the fabric line that you are interested in using from CT before you order your whole quilt, just to be sure you like the print. They have great prices on books and patterns most of the time.

If you are lucky enough to find a fabric that you like on Whittles' web site, go for it. I've never had a problem with any fabric and the customer service is tops. They will send you a sample if you are uncertain. Their web site is very easy to understand.

About Connecting Threads.... wow, I did not know they have their own brand of fabrics. I wish CT would see this discussion and comment on the quality of their fabrics. Maybe they contract with fabric manufacturers and do a private label with them that are made just for CT. I certainly would like to know. Libber

Use, urfresh, in the code box and you can get free shipping on orders less than $50.00

I've ordered from both. I was much happier with the quality of the fabric from Whittle's.

I have never purchased a fabric from Whittle's that wasn't LQS quality and I have ordered alot.

I have ordered from CT often. I am placing a large order today with 5 other people--we have to pay shipping!

I have ordered from both. Love the thread from CT. Whittles has a very nice selection of civil war and traditional prints, not many batiks. CT has pretty batiks.

This is the first time I have heard about Whittles, but I have ordered from Connecting Threads with great results, especially their prices on batting.
