    When I finish a quilting project, I cut all the leftover fabric in 2.5" strips.

    I never buy pre-cut rolls or fat quarters...I only buy in yardage and cut my own stuff.

    I hate to say but I totally agree about JoAnn's..... I use to but the block of the month and quit....They were all wanky and short on the material needed...... Moda is the only one I buy

    I have a lot of money invested with my mats, rotary cutters and rulers and have no problem cutting my own 2½ strips. I like cutting my own charms too, because the ones that have the pinked edges aren't always 5" square because of that.

    mmmmmm... I have thought about this to manage my scraps before they get out of hand. Glad to hear some of you do it and like it. I thought i would. But have not found TONS of jelly roll patterns. I have a book that has friendship braid in it but don't have a lot of jelly roll books to choose from. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I do cut my own, as the packaged strips are too expensive IMHO. I just have bins of strips that are 1.25", 1.5", 2.5", and 3.5". :)
