    hi lea125,
Since there are all kinds of sharpeners on the market will you tell us what kind of sharpener did you get?
    Thanks,
    Judy

Naw, I do it too. I'm getting better though. I was only going through 3 blades a year and convinced myself that I can use a whole 5 pack in a year without it hurting my budget. :) Way better now. :D

Note: I'm not buying a sharpener - just don't use enough blades.

Me too! I was cutting strips and getting tired of having to go back over them with scissors. Sigh.

hahahahaha that is me in a nutshell! Always wait to change blades, until I get frustrated with cutting the same area several times. Don't usually think about it because I am so wrapped up in the project. Same goes for changing my sewing machine needle.......arrgghh.

I am not near as bad as I once was. I was educated on the damage done to the cutting mats when using dull blades and pressing the fabric into the mat while trying to cut with a dull blade. Also the rotary blades at Harbor Freight that they stock for their carpet cutters are only about 1.50 to 2 each, makes it easier to change more frequently and still penny pinch.
