I guess most of us put off the task, both because we are frugal and because we hate the blade changing process. I keep at least 2 cutters going, and since I cut a lot of fleece, I move the partially dull blade to that cutter when I change out the "good" cutter. It seems to me that fleece dulls blades faster, so I try to keep it away from my "good" cutter as much as possible.

Another point -- I have worn out a few Fiskar cutters by using a dull blade for too long -- I guess from pressing too hard over time the hub wears down and the blade will bind. That hasn't happened to me yet with the Olfa cutters. Maybe because of the 3 notch hub design?

    Happy cutting!

We are all probably changing ours today thanks for the reminder I just never want to stop and change it but today I am changing before I start sewing just so it is ready and waiting for the next time I need to cut something
