Made one so far but have an interest in doing another. What kind are you thinking about doing? A pattern or from a photo?

I took a thread painting class last month with Chris Eichner. She does incredible work! And has won all sorts of ribons and awards. OH MY!
I love it and have been collecting scraps for making landscapes with fabrics and threadpainting...... I just needed an excuse for MORE fabric! LOL.

I made one from a book that I bought. The top came out okay, but I have not finished it yet. Maybe one of these days....

I would like to learn both ways

as I also paint in oils, acrylics, water colors and pen and ink

I went to the National Quilt Show last week at Columbus, Ohio and thought it would be fun to learn

Nancy has had Natelie on a few of her shows. They showed their techniques, it was very interesting.

I have only made a couple landscape quilts, but they were a lot of fun :D:D:D

I actually had two. One was Snippets and the other I cannot remember the exact name, but it had the word landscape in the title. There was a lot of blue on the cover. I gave one to Bearisgray and the other to Craftybug.

Update - I just did a search and found the title of the book that I used. It is Quilted Landscapes Machine Embellished Fabric Images by Joan Blalock. It was in Amazon.

I've never done one yet. Came close once--I did a seascape with a silouette of a ghostship on it. But that was when I was first learning to applique and it's a child type thing.
It just might be something I'd like to look into.
