It's on my to-do list, but haven't done it yet.

These are 3 quilts that I made from the "quiltville.com" site. Two were donated for auction at the theater my son performs at in the summer and the bargello was a gift for the women who has housed him for the past few years. This web site has about 40 scrappy patterns for free personal use.

    I. LOVE. SCRAPPY. QUILTS!!!! Apparently, I'm in good company! For me, they seem to be very forgiving... I'm not a "detail" person... very "global"... and scrappy seems to forgive my sometimes-less-than-precise piecing. I LOVE seeing other's beautiful creations of scrappy quilts... but then, I love seeing other's beautiful creations...
    Happy (scrappy) quilting!!

I love the scrappy look! I mainly buy fqs, & use as many different fabrics in all my quilts, as I can! I see some really lovely ones posted here too, great job everyone!

I was a scrappy quilt maker before I heard the expression.Mostly because I couldn't afford to buy several yds worth of fabric, so bought 1/4th yd at a time. When there was quite a bit, it was time to make a quilt.Usually from a mag or the one quilting book I owned.Never used old clothes, but that's great,if you have enough to cut up.
Over the yrs, found I hated making one color quilts. When I did, they went to family.None of them like scrappy.....that's ok, they're all mine :-) This is one of 2 made with all triangles.

This one is made from mens shirts from thrift shops. I gave this to a friend who is battling cancer. He says he uses it everyday when he takes his nap.
