I need storage for precuts, misc notions, fusibles, and all the odds and ends that are useful when needed. My yardage is fine where it is even if it is in a mess.

I always need more storage, but I only have one door into the quilting room, and I'm already using it to hang my panels. And every time I get more storage I just fill it up. I think it's a character flaw.

When I looked at it, it doesn't look like a quilt...just looks like one flowery piece of fabric with no design. So, I'm trying out different solutions to that problem. It helps that I have all the extra space in a room that no one else goes in. So, being messy doesn't bother anyone. It's sort of like collecting cook books. I see them in the bookcase and take one out to look for an inspiring recipe...or just to enjoy reading them and occasionally make a recipe I haven't made before from them. Getting rid of a fabric is like getting rid of your dog...why get rid of it if you still love it?

I don't think that anyone needs to worry or feel guilty about having too much fabric. It is the pleasure in it that we enjoy.
pennyhal2, I think this might please you...bet it works in sewing spaces too.

I have it over the door. Once I figured out the firm inserts go in the inside pockets not the outside, it didn't take but a few minutes to have it ready to fill. It is so much better then the over the door shoe racks I have now.

How far can you close the door? Or do you put it on the outside?
