I have several charm packs all with cottagy florals that I really like but could never figure out what to make. I have decided to make a scrappy quilt by just stitching them together as I pick them out of a bag. I also plan on tying this quilt. I've never tied a quilt before, but am really intrigued by it. I think it'll be really pretty and old-fashioned looking.

I purchased some minky charm squares recently and made a small rag quilt for my granddaughter, backed with a piece of flannel, as demonstrated in Missouri Quilts. She loves it.

I really love them both.Everything is color coordinated and ready to go.They can be expensive though, but I really shop around to find a good bargain.I have found the same ones at Walmart that they had at JoAnns, at a lower price.

I am just getting back into sewing and have no stash. I love the precuts. I made a Chinese coin lap quilt with the charm packs; pinwheels using MSQC's video; 4 patch using charm packs; sewing machine cover using jelly roll; placemats and table runners using jelly rolls and charm packs. The list just goes on and on..... love my precuts!

I love the charms and jelly rolls. Have done several quilts using both. Have a layer cake that I am going to make a snowball quilt with as well. I do like to pick my own fabric so am picky about what precuts I buy.

I've used the charm packs to make placemats and table runners.

I love the Missouri Star site and buy charm packs and love the tutorials..Its so much easier for me to watch someone make something than just to read a diagram..The Dresdern pattern looked so hard until I watched the tutorian on it and it looks so much easier..I will try to do it soon...The charm packs I bought came in just a couple of days and I was happy with the colors in it...

I have made multiple placemats and table runners using both jelly rolls and charm packs. They allow you to use a variety of coordinating fabrics painlessly. They are especially good for beginning quilters like me.

I use jelly rolls for any pattern that uses longish strips or pieces not more than 2.5" in height. I do a lot of "scrap" quilting and the rolls are a perfect size for cutting small squares or triangles which are my preference. I use the charm packs for the same scrap quilts, frequently cutting them even smaller. I love the assortment of colors you get in each jelly roll or scrap pack and they are usually sold along side yardage of the same fabrics.
