One of my favorite designers is Debbie Weisner from Out on a Limb. She makes quilts that look hard very easy. Many use pre-cut fabrics. I especially like her pattern for a purse called Not your Grammy's Pocketbook. I have made this pattern umpteen times with much success.

El Burns is the best but I like Billie Lauder for her unique way of doing simple squares.

I have two. Both online. I like Bonnie Hunter as well, haven't started any of her quilts yet, but I've spent a lot of time recently just reading and reading. I'm getting there.

The other is Marcia..um...Kohn? Quilter's cache. I have made several samplers from her blocks. Her speed piecing methods for triangles has spoiled me and it's hard to make good triangles using any method but hers. www.quilterscache.com

I really like Terry Atkinson. I find her patterns to be very clear, methodical and easy to follow. Plus, she has some cool designs!

ME! I design all my own quilts. I find blocks that I like then start messing around with them. I love the books that have 500 quilt blocks.

I just found and like Edyta Sitar. My piecing preference is applique and her patterns are wonderful. Am presently working on block 8 of 26 plus appliqued border.

While recently at the super market, ran into a quilter/friend and was introduced to her cousin. When asked what I was working on, I mentioned Edyta. The cousin said she lives near Edyta and mt friend said she had taken a course from her at the Lancaster Show. Both like her and her designs, also.

    Edyta's site is laundrybasketquilts.com.

Same here. I carry graph paper with me everywhere I go and can jot down ideas or plans whenever I'm inspired. Then later I'll take the time to draw out my plan with all the specifics like sizes, colors, etc. I like being able to create my own patterns.
