I pretty much do my own thing, but Bonnie Hunter and Jenny Doan are a lot of fun. Don't know if I'd call them my "gurus", but I have learned a few things from them.

The classes that are offered by craftsy are great because they are yours and you can watch them as often as you want.

QB's very own JenniePenny. She has a wonderful eye for color and design. She can look at a project and instinctively know what works and what doesn't in a quilt. She is also kind, giving and a wonderful human being.

Eleanor Burns. Went to a weekend retreat in the late 1980's and then had a class last summer with her at Chautauquah, NY. Learned new things each time. She is entertaining and very patient is someone gets "stuck."

I took a machine quilting class from Harriet Hargrave. Learned so much from her even tho I wasn't a beginner quilter when I took her class.

If the price is right I'll take a class. I have had some great classes and some bummers. It all depends on the teacher, sometimes you can check on line & get information on the "pro"

Harriet Hargrave, for sure. I first learned to quilt through her books. Plus, I have asked two questions of the folks who work at her shop, and both were answered personally by Harriet. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of person she is. I hope to meet her someday.

    hugs,
    Charlotte
