We have been giving some thoughts about expanding our Quilting and Embroidery shop to carry fabric bolts, quilt backing, patterns, etc. After having many of our customers asking us if we could get fabric bolts, etc. we believe there would be a big enough customer base in our area to do so. Does anyone out there know of Wholesale distributors that sale to independant shops? And if so, care to share any information and/or tips from anyone else that does this?

My advice is to get to the Spring Quilt Market. I believe it is in May. Not sure where it is. All the manufacturers will be there as well as the wholesale distributors.
Search under Quilts, Inc (The Houston organization that does the show)

There is a fabric wholesaler in Springfield, Tenn. I think it is called Choice fabrics. It used to be Brewers. It is about 1 1/2 hours south of the Ky. line off of I-24. You can download a form to fill out from their website.

There is Marshall's Dry Goods in Batesville, AR and Haik's fabrics in Springfield, MO. They both have online stores and websites.
