    Default Who's done this?

I saved this quilt pic because i liked it a lot and I put it on my to do list, I know the pattern is Briar rose from Bonni Hunter I believe, but this quilt is on point and it looks great. I have misplaced the talented quilter's name on the post, can someone please tell me the name of the pattern and if I can purchase one, I cannot figure out how it comes together, thank you

Should be straight forward to duplicate. Print off the picture and turn it 45 degrees. Draw a square around the 16 patches (4X4). The rest is a wide pieced sashing. Plain white cornerstones (double the size of the small scrappy squares), 4 half square triangles (finish same size as small scrappy squares) and 4 white squares 9same size as small scrappy squares.

I just finished one very much like this. The Arkansas crossroads is the pattern I used. Briar Rose is very similar. You can google both and find a free pattern.

The body of this quilt can also be made as a 9-patch with a 4-patch at each corner, a background square in the center, and four half-snowball blocks. The edges would be pretty easy to manage when you had the strips of the center together.

It looks this one I made a long time ago. Mine was made using 16 2" squares for each 16 patch. The white blocks were 3.5".

To add the points surrounding the 16 patch all I did was basically snowball one of the 2" squares on to the necessary corners of the white block. I enjoyed this pattern so much that I had made two of them. Each of my 16 patch blocks finished at 6" square. This alternates with a 4 patch of the white blocks. Each of the 4 white blocks had one 2" square added to opposite corners.
