    I have used them for cutting out clothes patterns. I also don't feel like I have enough control over them to use them to cut out quilt pieces. Mine are battery operated. I did see some that were "old" at a garage sale that were electric though.

    At the thrift shop I volunteer at on Fridays has a pair of electric scissors for sale. Next week I should "try" them out and see if they work and how well they work.
