I expect my DS (4 yrs old) to love his quilts. However, I drew the line at using one to play tug of w the dog!

I don't remember if you mentioned how old he is, but regardless of his age - it's pretty bold to take a display quilt off the wall and use for anything. His first clue should have been IT'S HANGING ON THE WALL!

Teenagers! I have two myself, and feel your frustration. I'm glad there's no permanent damage to the quilts.

BOYS They just don't get it. Let's think that they felt the love and talent that went into them as they wrapped up in them.

Sounds like teenage boys are pretty similar all over the world. Hope everything is ship-shape soon.

A friend of mine gave her son and DIL a quilt she had hand quilted. when she went to their house it was at the front door as a rug to wipe their feet on.

That's the glory of using 100% cotton. It is 100% washable.

The boys may have used your quilts; however, did you tell your GS not too? Did you leave any other blankets for them to use? I was kind of taken aback by this post; instead of knowing they enjoyed them and that you have a grandson, you are complaining about them using them. I too quilt and am an artist; I wish I had a grandson or grand anything that I had to wash up after. Quilts are replaceable, grandsons aren't. Thank you. GG

Yikes!...definitely an experience to avoid, if possible. Keep several beater quilts around for those occasions?

Next time tell gs no to staying at the house. He did not do a very good job of taking care of things. Even a burgelar might not have used your lovely quilts.
