    I went to the post "Petition to bring back fabric at Walmart". When i tried to respond. it said locked. I've never seen this before. Thanks

    That's b/c one of the moderators decides that there should not be any more comments.

    For various reasons Admin or Moderators will lock a post. Often it is when the subject has been posted over and over. Like beating a dead horse. :)

    We were suppose to lose our craft department this month but WalMart here has kept it and doesn't look like it's going anywhere. We have more fabric than ever before. I was told it was put off until fall and it may just stay here because it sells high volume of craft related products so we shall see.

    I was told that all WM's will eventally phase out the fabric.

    Doesn't look like it in Spokane, WA. They have reduced 50% some of the older fabrics to make room for the newer ones.
    I was there today and while the gal was cutting my fabric we chatted. She has been working for Walmart for 17 years and says she thinks the fabric department is not departing from their store anytime soon....they have a lot of new orders coming in and the prices already have been raised (and not a whole lot either) approximately 50 cents.

    I did buy some fusible fleece there the other day.It's not as good as the LQS sells.Connie in CO
