    I second the "transformer" information. It has a problem with the mechanical and computer components of the machine together. It's a problem with the Hz, and I think it can really mess up your machine with the timing of the stitches, etc. I know, I went to Australia and brought my US machine thinking the same thing with the transformer. I heard about all of the problems and ended up just shelving my US machine for a while and buying a new one for Oz.
