    I normally like the thinner but with the patterns in your fabric like like the wider cuts. I know you see this all the time on the board, but .... it is your quilt. Do what looks good to you.

    Either would do, I like the thinner ones myself, I think it makes the block look more like a DSP4. But if you are wanting to be sure your fabric is showing off more, use the wider strips, also which is easer to sew for you- wider or thinner- would also depend on how many blocks you need to make and if you have enough fabric. If it doesn't matter to you and you have plenty of fabric , toss a coin, or draw a number. lol

    I like them both. It depends on how you are going to set the smaller pieces. In the one with the wider strips, you have the colors together. With the thinner strips, you've mixed them around so the colors are spread out. I think that is what makes the difference. Making the final decision is always my hardest part too.
