Will glue stick gum up the needle?
Does Elmer's washable school glue stick gum up the sewing machine's needle? Does it matter if it's wet or dry?
I haven't used the glue stick much and thought I'd try it, and then after I got everything glued I suddenly started to wonder about this.

I haven't used glue sticks for sewing, so can't specifically answer your question.
However, if you should have a gumming problem, just use an alcohol swab and wipe the needle til clean.
I keep a bunch in my sewing machine drawer all the time.
It helps if/when the needle gets gummy from 505 spray.

There are non stick needles now. Made for sewing fabric with fusibles. I bought some at Walmart. They work great for machine applique.
