    My first "real" job was working in a fabric department of a department store. I spent a good portion of my salary on fabric. The department manager was a friend of mine, she and all the rest of us would make up "remnants" of the fabrics that we liked and stow them away for payday, when we got them for 1/2 off. Unfortunately, they were mostly polyester double knits :(

    My (not so) local Joann's is always hiring, I have thought about going to work part time its just to far to drive daily and still make enough money for fabirc!
    I worked at a Joann's several years back and I think that I bought more fabric than I earned in my paycheck...lol
