I have a 4 day weekend coming up so I will be sewing on one of those days. I will mainly be completing UFO's as that is my New Year's resolution. I also hope to see a movie or two at the cinemas. Happy New Year to you all.

I will be cooking up something for my husband and I for New Years Day (haven't the foggiest idea yet, but something easy - Macaroni and Cheese and hot dogs!!!!!) And while the football games are on, I will watch the game with one eye and work on a Christmas quilt a friend of mine gave me with the other - a Bucilla quilt that is all cross stitch (practically) and by George, it even has little dots where you quilt it by hand. It even came with the backing, batting and quilting thread. It has 23 colors and I am still on the first color (red) and it is driving me up the wall. It is the same thing over and over - red candy canes, red bows, red holly, red border, and I still have red "Merry Christmas" to embroider not to mention four red ornaments and four Santas with tall hats! It isn't that that isn't bad enough, I have to fill in all of this with another color red that is about 1/4 shade darker. Oh, I figure maybe 2020 should do it! I have to put all my quilting stuff away because our tree is right where my sewing station and stuff is. I suppose I could rearrange all my colors from light to dark shades of whatever, but I am not that anal! Red is red, blue is blue! When Christmas and my husband's birthday is over and we have come back from Treasure Island (our local casino) for a birthday overnight, the tree will come down, everything will go back from whence it came and I will get back to working on my three colored quilt. Hey, thanks for asking! Edie

Yes, I'll be sewing! I'll be working on my Blue Irish Chain Quilt. I need to make 50 nine patch blocks for that and I've got 13 finished, so quite a ways to go.

Possibly sandwiching the two tops that I made in Christmas Week. We were 'marooned', so got busy sewing.

I will be having 2 girl friends come for the weekend and we will sew all weekend. Since my husband died we have done this and I will make black eyed peas and cabbage. We will have sewing stuff all over the house! Great way to start the new year. Happy, Healthy New Year to everyone.

I wish I could sew! I'm working, though, and the following weekend have a shower to prepare for and throw. I'm going to go into withdrawals!

I have some lap quilts to make, couple of doll quilts, probably some pincushions, and learning to make hexagons, and will probably use in lap quilts /table toppers. whatever else I can think of. Yes right on New years day, a doll quilt!

I think that I will spend the day doing UFOs. There is something theraputic about finishing.
