For sure ... so that you do not chop off any of your points/corners in the quilt.

Better still ... trim it yourself and not have to worry whether the quilter trims it right or not.
I suggest this, because I just recently had a LAQ trim my quilt wrongly.
This after we had discussed at length that I wanted to do the binding in the same width,
just shy of one inch as some strips on the quilt top.

Needless to say, I was very disappointed ... over it now, but learned a big lesson!

Plus by trimming it yourself, you could try a few different widths before you commit.

I'm with the majority--simple black border. It'll look classy and your design will be the main attraction, as it should be.

Just bind it in solid black. It is a beautiful quilt.

I agree with Tartan on this quilt. It's really nice as is, a black binding would make it perfect.

Beautiful quilt. I would just bind in black, as no border is needed unless you need it larger.

I would use a plain black border anywhere from 2-4 inches, depending on how big your quilt is. The contracting fabric could be used on for the backing.

Awesome quilt and I agree with the others, just a narrow black border and binding.
