Haha k3n. That's just how I had it separated out on my WIP list here. Remember my DH is going with me Thursday and Friday shop hopping. Now it does look like less fabric must be purchased this way doesn't it ;-)
There is always method to my madness

Actually there are now 23 because I have sort of got hooked in to the whole chicken quilt thing! Yes, Yes I have already added it to the end of my list. Good thing I can do that at my leisure. But one of the shops on the shop hop list has alot of repo and country theme including CHICKEN fabric!

I am looking forward to doing this shop hop. Only 10 shops this time but each shop gives you a notion and a square pattern for the "theme" quilt plus there is a $100 gift certificate drawing at each shop and grand prizes are 2 sewing machines, a Babyloc and a Bernina. Of course I have no luck at all so I will be happy with 10 notions and square patterns. The last shop I did with a friend who was just starting quilting. She won the grand prize-a huge wash tub full of fabric, books, patterns, rulers, a rotary cutter and other assorted notions. It was a great start for her :)

He went with me before he was hit by lightning also. We will separate the shops over the 2 days. Stop for lunch in some little place we find and just spend time together without kids ;-) He actually usually finds something he thinks I have to have :)

I work nights 7p-7a and he works days 7a to 5p but doesn't get home until about 6p when I am leaving. For a lot of years we just passed each other in the evening. I am only working about 2 days a week now but when I was full time we didn't get a lot of time together so my shop hops and dog shows and his swap meets and drag racing were our time to enjoy each other's company away from 4 kids. I don't show dogs anymore and he hasn't drag raced since Ty's accident (although I think he is itchin' to get back to it) so it's shop hop and swap meets for the past couple years.

Sheesh Swan Song - I didn't know we were counting fabric bought in ANTICIPATION OF A PROJECT. I'm going to have to do a recount! and I have TWO stashes: 1 in AZ and 1 in CT. When I'm in a fabric store and see something that will be PERFECT with other stuff in my stash for a future project, half the time I discover that it goes with the OTHER stash.

And then there are the 'orphan' projects done in a class 'just' to learn a new technique. I never throw them away, but I'll probably never use them either. Should I count them?

    On the WIP front....

My blue and white stars are on hold while I wait for the fabric to arrive for the LAST TINY LITTLE BIT!! *falls onto floor sobbing*

But while I wait, I started the blocks for the BOM from my local quilt shop, and the one that's coming by post from a shop at the other end of the country. I'm a month behind, so I did the first two last night, from March, and will do April's tonight. Will be nice to be caught up on those.
