I'd really love to have a longarm & right now the HandiQuilter 18 Avante is at the top of my list.

Oh Bellaboo, I wish I could say that. I need to do the same thing which is test drive at dealers not at shows. So far my dream is a Juki 2010. Of course I would take any bigger sit down machine.

Ok I'm a weirdo. Now that we have that disclaimer in place, I would really like to have the antique machine my friend got in a group of three and took all for repair and let the guy keep that one in lieu of payment for fixing one of the other ones. I had started getting it loosened up and almost had it to the point that everything was moving. The only thing really a major problem was the missing shuttle for the bobbins (which it had) and the wooden case was a mess. The fellow didn't seem to think it would be possible to find a shuttle and talked like the machine would be for display only anyway. I want to get it sewing! She offered to split the proceeds if she sells the repaired one, but I fell in love with that really old one.

Santa (my awesome hubby) brought me the machine I was drooling over, a baby lock crescendo. But I would also love a bigger brother embroidery machine and a long arm, but that would also require a larger house . I am super excited about my crescendo though!!!

If someone were to give it to me with no payment book attached I'd love a Pfaff Performance 5.0 or the Brother Dreamweaver TOL with the embroidery. I'm very partial to Brother for embroidery and Pfaff for regular sewing. I really don't need any machines though. Well... maybe a cover stitch machine. I would like one only for making fleece blankets so I don't need it either.

Mom-6 please post your machine and questions on the vintage side. Someone there will be able to help I'm sure.

Actually we already have a machine under the tree this year. We're using my daughter's Singer 101 in it's cabinet as the Christmas tree stand.
I wouldn't mind finding another vintage machine there too though.

I have my dream machine now, so maybe a babylock ovation with all the feet would be nice
