I would cheerfully take a HQ16 sit-down if it fell in my lap.

Me, I am quite happy with my vintage machines, they have everything I require at this time and are dependable and trouble-free. If I had a considerably larger sewing room, then I might consider a different machine.

I just got a Pfaff Performance 5.0 and love it. My local dealer is absolutely fabulous! Love the Integrated Feed, test drove a Janome, Baby Lock and Viking before.

I have a Janome 6260QC which I love for piecing. I have a Janome 1600p DB on a grace frame. Not enough throat space so I'm really limited in designs I can quilt. I just pre-order my dream machine for my frame (http://blockrockit.com/). The price is right and I think I will enjoy quilting with it. Now, just have to wait until it is released .

A long arm, but even if I got it, I wouldn't have room for it, so I also need either a bigger house or a bigger sewing room. The bigger house will come when we can sell our house where we used to live, hopefully soon.

I thought I wanted the Sweet 16, but when I tried it out at the local dealer, I found that it can only be controlled with a foot control. I have had problems in the past with my calf muscle from using a foot control on my sewing machine and only use the on/off button on my Janome 6600. From just trying out the Sweet 16 for 5 minutes at the shop, I had calf muscle pain for two days. I was also disappointed that the stitch control required you to hold a mouse-like gadget under the quilt in order to make the stitch control work. Not at all what I expected.
This is a new dealer in our area, is this information correct?

My sewing machine wish list was completed four or five years ago when Santa brought me my LA; and my vintage machines list is pretty much full; it is just that every time I see where one of you has gotten one that I don't have, that wish pops into my head (Oooooo I want one of those); so I guess my DH hopes y'all don't come up with any new ones before he gets something on his wish list. Merry Christmas to all of you......
