    CUTE purse!!! If you want a zipper, you could put it as an exposed one, along the top. The ends of the zipper would sort of hang loose (they could be tucked inside) . . . but it would work. "Where there's a will, there's a way."

    How would that work? I thought of it, but I'm not sure how to do it. The tops of the purse are really thick from turned in seams, and overcast stitches.

    In case anyone is still following this ... I opened up the strap seams near the purse and inserted magnetic snaps. I started putting all my stuff in last night but got discouraged. I think I may remove the custom liner and insert it in a bought purse, and use the denim outer for a tote.
