The block is so pretty! I prefer it without the roses.

If you got Blue Bonnets, you do not need yellow roses. Lovely block.

No leave the roses off. The first block looks best. I think the roses distract too much and draw attention away from the center of the block. Besides it looks as though you have some small yellow in the center of the block anyway, or is that Bluebonnets? I personally like it without the roses, but that's just my opinion.

i vote for leaving the yellow rose of texas out... this is a beautiful quilt...i am from calif... just a note and my bday is next month...lol... seriously it is beautiful...
