and I'm so tired of it! this stupid old quilt frame, what in the world is wrong with this darn thang! Why does the carriage wobble? Do all old machine frames do this? For the most part I do fine, on free motion but when I start following a pattern I've drawn, its like the wheels are falling off, it wobbles and bobbles.....URG!!!....I'm done for the day.

check all the places that are screwed or whatever together. maybe they are loose and it doesn't do it when you free motion. could be time for a new one?

Is it unlevel? I had a table once that loved to pitch a fit when I sewed at high speed. I put a shim under one of the legs and that solved my problem.

Check the tracks and the rollers that run on the tracks. The tracks can pick up lint and dirt. The wheels can show wear and need replacing if they don't run freely anymore or are split.
Mine has one wheel that likes to jump out of the track. I just pop it back with a screwdriver and it works fine again for a few quilts.
I try to think of it as a character trait.

Well I suppose I should just buy a new one, or deal with the wobble.
