Ouch! That sounds very painful. Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery. I know how withdrawal is. We went out of town for 3 days last week and I didn't take a sewing machine with me. By day 2 I was wishing I was home and in my sewing room.

I'm so sorry to hear of your injury, pain and frustration that comes from being separated from your quilting. I certainly hope we don't disappoint you with our tales of woah, frustrations with patterns or displays of accomplishment. Perhaps some our Chit Chat column will bring you some humor and delight until you can be reuniterd with your loving stash between your fingers... My arthritis throws me curves all the time and ammends the time I can do the things I wan to do. When this happens I read the QB and realize my problems are the worst on the QB...Smile we're loving you wherever you are right now and wishing you well soon... :-D :-D :-D

Oh dear, I am sorry to hear this. I had thumb joint replacement a year ago and so I was laid up for about 5 months total and So I know what you mean by reading and fondling fabric. I was glad I had my Nook Color because I could lay it on the arm of the chair and swipe pages easily and not have to hold a book open. Feel better soon. Jan

While you nurse your elbow back to health try enjoying free motion sewing. ake a few scraps and just move them around on the machine then draw out a few simple designs and follow them. Use a stablizer to help keep it ridgid for ease.
