Sorry for your fall and I hope you have a speedy recovery. You can now look for your next project and you can still go shopping for material. Keep the faith, it will go quickly.

So sorry about your accident. Thank goodness for modern medicine. It has saved you from having a near useless arm to one that will probably function almost normally. Have someone get our a batch of your quilt magazines, go thru them and, just think how many ideas you will have in 8 weeks. Praying you will have a reasonably painless rehab.

You will be the BIONIC QUILTER!!!!
    Poor baby................
Just be careful. This board is soooooooo addictive, you may not be able to leave it to go and quilt!
If I spent the same time quilting as I do on this board, I would have so many quilts, I'd probably have to buy more stash! (AND there isn't much room for stash.....except...there is ALWAYS room for stash!)
Hey, you can go to estate sales, garage sales, thrift shops, and the like to get prepared to quilt again. All kidding aside, please take care and get well soon so you can do ANYTHING you want to.

Oh no.......you poor thing! Hope you aren't in too much pain. But the good thing is you can spend all your time planning what to do when you're able to quilt again. Load some fresh ink cartridges and paper into that printer and stock up on all the free patterns and ideas the internet has to offer.

I hope you recover quickly. I know that this board is great entertainment and a great distraction when you are in pain. It has been my salvation when I'm up at 3 am with sciatic pain. You'll have a huge list of things you want to do that you saw on this site.

Just think of all your bionic arm will be able to do. You will quilt like a fiend when you are recovered!

Oh, Marty, bummer! There are many Sisters in Woe here. I'm about to join them too, with a knee replacement. I'm fretting about not being able to drive, but you, a one armed, (non dominant at that) quilter, that's gotta bite hard! Sounds like design time. Fondle fabrics, lay them out, make sketches and photograph the combinations you like. At least you can still tickle the keyboard and keep us posted on your progress. And, at two weeks post event, you've already cleared the biggest chunk of time. I'm figuring, for an elbow, 4 weeks. How long were you in traction before the replacement?

Join the club. I have been sidelined for about 5 wks. now. Sorry about your fall and that it has caused you to have to have the replacement. Hope your recuperation goes smoothly and you can get back to quilting !

That's awful!! Get out your magazines, gently work through stash storage and get things lined up ready to roll. Keep us posted on your progress and hope things go well.
