Meant to saw I sewed the strips in the wrong order.

I have done similar things also and have to just put it away till another day. I am so glad you had extra fabric.

And I loved your description of "woke up with stupid hat on"! That sure says it for some of my mornings (and afternoons and evenings and shoot, whole days"!

the stupidest thing I've done so far this year was to match an orange solid to a brown/beige/orange print in evening artificial light and sew together to discover taht in natural daylight the colors are waaaaaaaaaaaaay off. Still a snuggly rag quilt so it stays.

I was having trouble last night trying to figure out which way to turn my ruler to cut my pieces. Took me a little while then the "light bulb" went off over my head and I got it. When I have days like that, I clean up around my sewing machine and do things that don't require much thinking. haha
