It looks like more and more of us are first stitching to the back, then using various methods to stitch on the top front. I love using the flange method which looks great on the front BUT the back does not look so great - another row of stitches, but wonky. I've used glue, clips and pins. Any suggestions?

I have to admit, I'm another of those who can't sew on my binding and get a nice straight seamline. I never thought of using glue , so I just pin and hand stitch on the back. Tiring, but it works for me.

I'm in the same camp. Maybe I'll check some Youtube videos.

I love wonder clips but not for binding. I pin the binding on with the quilt lying flat to machine stitch it on which prevents stretching the quilt or binding. I then us the 1/2 inch applique pins to pin it. My thread does not get hung up on the small pins.

I have a friend who makes lots of donation quilts. She uses fusible thread, sets it with the iron and serpentines stitches the binding down. She just flies.

This is what I do then iron in place & stitch in the ditch on the front with a zipper foot. I will use a wonder clip on the corners & the joining seams.

I stared using them before I knew Wonder-Clips existed.
Yes...I use those too! I just picked up a box of mini clips at Tuesday Morning for $1.99 to try.
