I had a pattern but can't find it now & thought maybe some one could help me out. You stack material & started cutting for the block. Probably isn't that clear but just maybe you will understand.

Are you talking about a kaleidoscope-type pattern? Those are usually referred to as Stack and Whack, or One Block Wonder (OBW)? Try searching on those two terms and you should get a lot of hits.

It does sound like a one block wonder pattern. I saw one where you cut squares and stack them. Then you cut them at wonky angles and restacked and sewed them back together. Someone did one like that here and it was really cool.

There have been several on here, these are the ones that I remember.

In the Tutorial section is a Wonky Block tute made by Bevanger.

There was a wonky star, you stack 12 or 13 fabrics and cut out a star...rotating each stack of fabrics...

There was another, where you stacked 6 fabrics and randomly cut a wonky nine patch and rotate the stacks too.

It sounds like what little hub was talking about is what i was thinking because you stack the material to cut.

If it is One Block Wonders... at the top of the page click on search. Then type in OBW and there is a big list  there may be more if you also type in One Block Wonders :D:D:D

Here is also a link to a big discussion regarding OBW
